Emergency replacement of failed gravity sewer transmission main while maintaining both traffic and sewer flow. This work involved emergency response from several Spratt crews and included traffic control, bypass pumping, deep excavation and trench protection, structures and complete restoration completed less than 10 days from start. |
Sitework on Medicorp's Fredericksburg campus. 20,000 CY of soil was removed from the site safely and efficiently. Other work done included a storm drain, sanitary sewer and water line system for the new facility. |
Total sitework including clearing, erosion, grading, storm, sanitary line, sanitary pump station, bio-retention areas, stone base and asphalt. This was a design build job for a 6 Acre site in Quantico. |

Emergency removal and replacement of failed metal culvert beneath US Rte 1 in Spotsylvania for VDOT. Work included traffic control, erosion, pavement, concrete and pipe demolition, installation of new 54” concrete pipe and structures and complete restoration. Work performed ahead of schedule with minimal disruption and to the high satisfaction of VDOT. |
Raw water line connecting to a line previously installed by Spratt bringing water from the Rappahannock River to an outfall for the Rocky Run Reservoir. Project included clearing, erosion, rock excavation, 1,200 ft 42 inch DIP, an outfall structure, access road, rocked outfall channel and complete site restoration. |
10,000 feet of four lane highway access including box culvert, storm drain system, water main, site concrete, pavement and landscaping. Also included was road widening to the existing VDOT roadway. |
Design/build project included engineering, layout, easement acquisition, replacement of 28,000 ft of sanitary and water mains in 5 locations in the city. Rehabilitation of utilities in the City dating back to the 1940’s was done using a combination of conventional open cut, and also pipe bursting, slip lining and horizontal directional drilling. |
A sewer trunk line replacement for Spotsylvania County consisting of over 5 miles of 36" pipe, 118 manholes, and all associated laterals and connections. The project also included a jack and bore beneath I-95 as well as two shorter bores. The Phase 2B portion was an emergency project and was completed well ahead of schedule. |
The Regional Fire Training Academy is a joint training facility for the local fire departments of the City of Fredericksburg, King George and Spotsylvania Counties. This was a complete site package including all the concrete, electrical, and paving as well as clearing, earthwork and utilities. A unique feature was construction of a burn building for live fire training exercises. |
A 38 acre site project for Medicorp Health System's new hospital in Stafford. The job involved moving over 400,000 cubic yards of earth and fine grading for the buildings and roads. There was also over 10,000 feet of storm line, 4,000 feet of sanitary sewer and 5,000 feet of water line installed. |
The project provided construction of water line from a tower through the park to service various cabin camps and for general fire protection. We installed over 63,000 feet of twelve inch, eight inch and six inch ductile iron water main. We also installed nearly two miles of copper services including water fountains, meter vaults and yard hydrants. |
