Joe Hoyt is scheduled to start with us on May 22. His first job will be all the site-work for another Food Lion, this time in Ladysmith. Hopefully the contract will be finalized this week so that clearing can get started as Joe arrives. Good luck Joe!

Sid has had his hands full with #609 - Emergency Pipe Replacement. Sid has become intimately familiar with the 1994 Road and Bridge Specifications and now refers to it as the "document of choice". Our jacking sub, Webb Boring, has been able to pick up the pace and looks forward to resuming on Monday to work 12 hours a day till they have finished jacking all the 72" RCP beneath the road. Mr. Bill Neopolitan has been our eyes, ears and basic support team of recent on this job. Keep up the good work Bill and, of course, hang in there SID!

Doug Wheeler & Susan have attended and successfully completed the seminar on how to deal with difficult people. We wait with anticipation to see the new enlightenment this course must have brought! Doug also notes that finding something to do for the drivers is a problem that has disappeared since the rain has stopped. His main concern these days is finding enough trucks and drivers to keep up with all the work. This is a "HIGH-CLASS" problem!
