Doug Tait provides the leadership as President that has made W.C. Spratt, Inc. into the region's leading heavy/highway contractor. His commitment and honesty unite the company as a team focused towards enhancing a legacy started over 80 years ago by strengthening the company's reputation with customers and partners alike. Doug combines 26 years of tenure with a BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech to provide a solid foundation of reliable business practice that continues our growth with integrity.

Susan Tait is corporate secretary and works relentlessly to maintain and improve W.C. Spratt's reputation as this region's industry leader. She oversees accounting, banking, insurance, all administrative functions, HR, our ESOP, and many other corporate tasks. Her management of company policy and exacting attention to detail strengthens our relationships and promotes further growth and stability.

Joe Bailey is project manager and has over 25 years experience in heavy construction. His background originated in general construction, which led to his position as Vice-President for a multi-million-dollar development company. His areas of expertise include preliminary budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and field construction project management. Joe’s loyalty and commitment to the company and his focus on complete customer satisfaction enhances our reputation and brings us new and continued partnering relationships.

Pete Strychowskyj is project manager and brings more than 30 years experience in engineering and construction management, with a specialization in cutting-edge trenchless technology. He set design standards and replaced sewer and water lines via a hydraulic trenchless process in Calgary. Pete is a published author whose work appeared in the journals of the American Society of Civil Engineering, the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering and other publications.

Sonny Hanks is superintendent and his experience in construction spans more than 30 years. After working for companies in VA, MD and WV, his tenure with W.C. Spratt began in the 80's and he has gained a wealth of experience in utilities and site-work. Sonny is an accomplished equipment operator on all pieces in Spratt's fleet. He focuses on complete customer satisfaction through his leadership and attention to job objectives. Customers consistently give praise for the extra effort they receive from Sonny ensuring quality successful projects with professional service always with a smile.

Ed Gregory is superintendent and has over 30 years management/supervisory experience across a broad range of construction projects with a large portion in utility and site work. Projects include large commercial, utility plant, residential site, municipal, DOT and COE. With his broad base of experience, Ed is a valuable part of this company's management team. His management diversity enables continued company growth through use of efficient construction techniques and personnel management.
